Me getting chased by some pillock!...if you spoke to him you will know what i mean :)

All in a a pretty good day but spoilt by a couple of things.... dodgy synchro on 3rd and didnt get fuelling right till the way home for me!....then the poor way they were only allowing 15 cars at time on for 8-10minutes a session!!!!!!!!!.... i understand what they were trying to do but surely it was obvious by the afternoon it wasnt working!!! i payed for what i was under the impression was going to be open pit lane.... not the restriced sessions which led to big queues and long delays :(....still a good day and good to catch up with old and new aquaintances :)

Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian

You've done enough of our days to realise this isn't how we'd have chosen to run the day. We are firm believers of an open pit lane format but this was impossible due to regulations laid down by Croft i.e. 15 cars on track :( That and the fact that we had 4 or 5 consecutive Red flag incidents in the morning. People were getting frustrated, queuing and then having to queue again due to another Red flag. The decision was then taken to control the track time in an effort to ensure equal time for everyone. The result was not a single Red flag in the afternoon. Not ideal I know, but we felt this would be the fairest way for all.

We are used to a circuit limit of 25 cars at Croft, this would have made a big difference and I'm with you Ian, providing a more relaxed and more enjoyable day. We learned today that Croft are imposing this limit on all weekend dates going forward but will retain the 25 car limit on weekdays.........so any future dates will be Fridays or nothing.

Apologies for any disappointment and normal business will be resumed at Cadwell on June 10th :) Hope to see you there.

Kind regards
Nigel

Nigel is quite right in what he says, and is echoed by us guys ovr at Tracksport. The 15 car reg was thrust upon us this morning.

TBH although it was mildly frustrating, at least the weather held out (although I'd rather it rained ;)) and, of all the incidents, none were serious.

Just to put this all in to perspective- Crofts own days are run in sessions only. They do not allow slicks. There prices are similar.

The days was good, and the organisers did their best under the circumstances, so give us a smile guys- it weren't that bad ;) :) :D

Evo Stuart

The support from the MLR Scots was superb, circa 500 - 600 mile round trips is an absolute credit to them. Some really nice kit that you boys need to share with us on a more regular basis too :)

Martin (Willox) has a seriously quick car, Charlies Skyline was also super quick and sounded like a jet fighter, Winnies STi7 was lovely........the list could go on. A massive thanks to you all for putting so much effort in to join us today.

You must do Cadwell next :)

firstly let me stay what top day, well organised and in my humble opinion 15 cars on track was the best think to do and it all ran smoothly, its all well and good open pit lane and loads of cars but it was hard enough as it was , so i think top call guys especially as you could put some hot laps in without the tyres going off as stopping out too long certainley cooks em as i found out to my cost with a 100 plus spin down the back chicane(or esses or what ever you want to call em) flat in 5th not a good idea, but with a bit of russ swift style driving we were back in to the pits undamged with the exception of 4 chunked slicks, so the afternoon sessions were good for me,
as this was the 1st outing on the new suspension set up i was pleased with the handling and felt it was very quick through the bends, got past by black fast evo (willox?) on start/ fin straight and thought id stopped, so top power under that lid me thinks alothough i did catch under braking and cornering, also nigels evo 3 also bloody quick car with a large amount of prod, all in all a good day, just cant help thinking how you get a 1 1/2 ton brick round corners quicker, imean westfield busas aspirated 360 bhp per ton, turbo dax or westfield 600bhp per ton, good reliable evo with 500 bhp works out at 334bhp per ton,
so what next me thinks to get more speed and handling 6r4, escort wrc, dax busa turbo, hmmm
think we,ll leave there, :D

The 15 max limit in sessions did work well today. Gave plenty of trackspace. Only pi$$a was the wait to get on track, but even that was not too long.

All in a top day and I'm looking forward to coming back to see if I've the bottle to take the esses flat without lifting :goingmad: :rucrazy: Nearly managed it once and slid all over the place for the right hander
