After having some work done on my 6GSR, the garage checked for fault codes.
They told me that it showed a code 41 relating to the AYC???
Enlighten me anyone??

I take it the Mutt II tester showed this fault code , you need to ask Anna who posts on this site as I know he has all the Mutt info to hand.

if it is code 41 on its own,its normal and is to be ignored.
if you have any other codes AS WELL AS CODE 41, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM !

If its an EVO 6

Code 41 relates to the TPS (Throttle position sensor),
Three probable causes,

Defective TPS
Defectve harness or connector
Defective AYS-ECU

Taken straight from diagnostic code book

Hi japracer

Code 41 is a tps fault in the ayc but you can ignore it as its a dummy signal and i have found it on quite a number of evos 4,5,6, and have had know problems with any of them, the fault code however may have to be erased to bleed the ayc in some instances.

DAVE

How are you last time i seen you it was at combe and i have changed my nick name since then, hope to see you soon, may be at cadwell???

Jap racer

I am just reading from the book of words and am not a technical person,
Best bet is to take it back to dealer and see if code has come back,
it may be a dummy signal as dave says then no problem
