Sometimes not always there is a smell of clutch burning sometimes but not always when

a) the car is on idle and in neutral
b) while reversing
c) when driven hard

It lasts for a minute or so then disappears

It doesn’t feel like the clutch is slipping at all it seems to hold fine. Any ideas what it could be?

Clutch knackered or something loose?

Cars done 7,300 miles and no track days.

Well your drive is certainly a test for a clutch Chris!

But as you say, no other problems with the clutch.
Yes its a puzzle

Was thinking of upping the power to high 300's but not sure if the clutch can take it and will need to budget for a twin plate

I really found the clutch good... 19,000 miles on standard clutch and still going strong. I have launched many times with it iswell but feel my technique is easy on the clutch. I did about 50-60 launches on my standard evo iv clutch once it had 50,000 miles:eek: could just be technique.
