Hi all
My check engine light has came on and gone off a couple of times.
Will the fault codes be stored in the ecu even though the light has gone off?
Thanks

Yep standard 7 ecu
I'll take it to my local specialist to get codes / fix issue
I've been having starting issues recently which started with the light, garage can fix it then

if the car has been mapped at some point, the flashes of the light can also mean det has been detected. If the ecu is definitly original map, this wont be the case though

Flashing the codes out is easy if you want to have a go, but if you are going to take it somewhere, dont disconncect the battery for any reason as that will clear any stored codes
