Chaps a quick one.
In the process of changing pads on my front calipers.
Have removed the retainer pins, spring clip and have pulled the pads out of the calipers.
There are two metal sheets that are sandwiched between the brake pad and caliper pistons, which are heavily greased with a bronz coloured grease.
Can someone teel me what this grease is for ? Does this part really need to be lubricated or can I get away with degreasing it and simply fitting the new pads on. ?
If needed, can someone recommend what grade of grease this is ???
Cheers
