Can i save videos?

Can i save a video from the likes of youtube etc to my documents?

Probably a simple way or i`m thick?

Just seen a few vids i`d like to keep.

Any advice please folks?

you could copy the link and add it to your favourites
just click on 'add to favourites' icon and it will stay on your you tube user page as a favourite
There are a few tools on the web that allow you to save these but you need a codec to view.

I'll ask a few guys at work
there is a program you can download that will record video but i cant seem to remember the name of it

Easiest way is to copy the url into this online converter

I did start looking for a freeware program, but cba really as the online converter works fine.
Firefox has add-ons that allow you to save the videos as flash movies - then you need to get a free player to play them back... :)

That's what I use. It's an add-on called VideoDownloader 2.0 which I use. It adds a small icon to the status bar (at the bottom next to where the padlock appears on https pages). When you're on google video, youtube etc etc you can click the icon and up pops a window with a link. Click the link and it saves the file to your computer as a .flv file. Then you need to find an .flv player. Job done.
