That's what I use. It's an add-on called VideoDownloader 2.0 which I use. It adds a small icon to the status bar (at the bottom next to where the padlock appears on https pages). When you're on google video, youtube etc etc you can click the icon and up pops a window with a link. Click the link and it saves the file to your computer as a .flv file.
