Yes but fun. Well ok it is true. I think we can come to the conclusion that if you want response and power, recirculate. If you are a big poncie poser, then dump! :)

I tried dumping in the high street once but got arrested :D

As you have now been initiated by the trial of the 'flaming board' then you can join my anti aftermarket dump valve club (VTA or recirc) ;)

I have seen this clip a few times on Men and amp; Motors (Carnage I think?) and it cracks me up every time.

Picture this...
Essex wide boy (honest he was from Essex!) in an Escort Turbo Convertible cruising along the road explaining seriously what he has done to the car to a camera in the passenger seat.
Yeah I fitted a dump valve, when you dump off it surprises people ...demonstrates the dump... when people hear it they think, yeah that is a serious performance motor .

NOPE, PEOPLE ARE THINKING YOU ARE A W###ER IN A HAIRDRESSERS CAR! :D :D :D

Sorry, no doubt if I was 20 years younger then I would have thought it was great ;)

ALL MEMBERS,
It will now be required of you all to state clearly in your posts which form of dump valve you are using

recirculators will be know as recircs
vent to atmos people will be known as a dumper

anyone with std valve need not post
those contemplating a purchase during the coming festivities should make it clear what their intentions are

if you are unsure which bov to buy.,cant decide,or dont know.......er,wake up and get on with it
i know this may discriminate against any Liberal Democrat evo owners,but who gives a #### about them anyway ?

Anyway. Cool. just been out in my evo and i still cant get the hang of this part throttle thing..... lessons please. I am proud of being a recirc'r. Im changing my name to SGT Recirc.

Sorry one more thing regarding RS turbos. I used to own a supra TT Targa 95 430 at wheels. Got wasted, and I mean wasted by a 2.0 res turbo in W-S-M once. Pulled him over . 32psi @ 400 Bhp. ######## I said. True. Bearing in mind i can drive, he was soooo much quicker it was embarissing ! ah well. he had spent 20k on it to my 2k. ;)

VTA valves are fine if you like that sort of thing, just not my cup of char....I know I have a turbo and I don't care who else knows.

Talking of RS'es:
I know a chap who had a RS Turbo that had over 300hp, he used to have to change the (standard) CVH heads every 6-10 months 'cos of cracks but he enjoyed himself all the same :) Damn quick car, 12s 1/4s nae bother, providing you didn't want to tackle any corners!

Haha, yup, chap I knew ran 2 bar if I remember right. Metal head gasket, low comp. pistons, big-ass turbo and wild cams but AFAIK pretty much the rest of the engine was standard!

I was amazed it ever went at all to be truthful...

A true dumper dumps his muthafuggin huge bolt on WASTEGATE to atmosphere.

Ha , kid's stuff , check out tractor pulling 4 BIG boost numbers , triple compounded turbo's and 250 psi , luvly :)
The RS will only last 10 zepto seconds at 32 psi b4 recreating the big bang , but they r so cheap 2 rebuild it doesn't matter ;)
