The highest I've seen on a power chart was a Jap tuned VI at 508 bhp and 469 ftlbs , the car is in Japan.
However I've heard of a 600 bhp example ,GOOD LORD http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle > , but have seen no evidence.
Almost anything is possible with enuf wedge , 2 Ltr turbo rallycross cars knock out 850 bhp some with only 2 wheel drive!!! Escort Cosas will send 520 bhp up their mainshaft.
I've power tested a Evo5 at 388 bhp and 348 lbs-ft torque for a car delear who was trying to sell it to a customer.
Heavily modified but exact spec not known.
Sold the next day and never seen it again.
I tend to agree, none of these wild claims are ever backed from a bench dyno. Any good engine builder who is producing high bhp, sets up the engine on a bench dyno and would be able to produce the graphs for all to see.
All I can say is thats a lot of mod for only 350bhp.
If you read the RS450 article I think you will find that the car had the boost turned down for the test and that is why Ralliart probably state 350bhp. The boost can be turned up safely to 2.3 bar which with the other mods must mean more than 350bhp!
Having had previous evos, before my rs450 ,i can honestly say the 450 is extremely rapid and the difference is massive ,not just 60 bhps worth ,my previous evo6 zero fighter was supposed to be 350bhp and have drove extreme back to back with the 450 .
Not bothered weather its exactly 450 or not its very rapid , dont mean to sound big headed just giving an opinion from a ownership point of view .
Heave ho six,
Based on evo 5 rs with shorter gearing ,contrary to beleif it will still top out at 155.
Very happy with cars performance and ralliarts spec, its up to you whether you believe it or not .
Like ive said have had previous evos in various states of tune and not all off the playstation like p1 and his cronies.
