hi again,

ive been searching for the right exhaust system for my 5 for the past little while and cant decide. I want something less raspy, with a deep rumble, but not crazy loud. Ive watched all the videos/sound clips I could find, but since many of the videos are old, the sound quality is different with each video so its a bit hard to compare.

was originally looking at hks hi power, or kakimoto n1, for those who have these systems with a downpipe, how are they?

but pls let me know if there are other ones you guys would prefer over these two.

this is actually the same video that made me start looking into kakimotos lol
well ive had the kakimoto Regu 6R for a week now and absolutely love it!! Its so deep on tickover and the cold start.... wow! It has a really nice quality sound, i cant explain well, but it doesn't sound cheap, lol. I'm super happy, and I like knowing I can remove the center silencer if I want it to sound more raspy :)

lets get some sound clips!! and are you still running the standard downpipe and cat?
I was looking at some fujitsubos as well and theyve got a nice smooth sound, less burble-y, if that makes sense, but i think im just going to go with the kakimoto n1..been looking at a different system each week and its too much of a headache trying to decide lol

i'll make a video wed/thu as the cars in for wheel refurbs atm. Its on standard downpipe and with a de-cat.... I don't know about the fujisubos, I only have experience with HKS hi-power and now this kakimoto which imo is much better and has really quite a deep rumble i love it haha :)

is there any particular one u would suggest?

Fujitsubo RM-01A Have one on my iv same fitment 4-6.

I’ve had at least 10 exhausts on various evos and the fujitsubo is definitely my favourite not drowny quiet enough to pass track days limits but comes alive on boost. It’s one piece, it’s tucked up quite high with a nice straight routing so doesn’t sap power.

Pops and bangs when extremely hot and I’ve had it 5 years plus and it’s still mint.
