Evo4GirlRacer, Colonel_Smith and I are all in Reading - and willing to start-up the EVO Berkshire Massive! Obviously this is an excuse for beer, but if we can get enough of us, then we can do track days too - have a mate in the business.
Anyone interested, and any good ideas of what we can do?

Spoke to my mate Ed Moore at Motorsport Events, they will be doing another day in September - will post when more details available. They are great, particularly for those new to track days. If we are all up for that we could turn that into a big meet, with some sort of beer/curry event afterwards!

DaveG - I wouldn't worry, the great thing about track days is it makes it a level playing field. You maybe more skillful that me at driving - though I hope not! Last time I was out, I was giving rides in the car - people thought it scary then, with slicks, APs and only 360bhp! Still struggled with a Caterham though - JUST managed to stay with him. Was a 190bhp race caterham, so ultralight - driven by a guy at work who was being given the trackday as a reward for good work. It was his first day and the sod overtook me!! Not a good thing to do to yer boss!

Blade - I was driving in Paris in the middle of the night in the pi$$ing rain when some lowlife appeared from nowhere on a roundabout couldn't make the corner and piled straight into the side of me. Hitting me side-on caused me to spin and when I'd put the car into a safe place and got out he'd scarpered. Dammage to both passenger side doors, rear pannel, pannel running under the doors and a slightly scraped rear wheel. Also as I spun into the centre of the roundabout I grazed the underneath of the front spoiler. Still the car is not twisted in any way and runs perfectly although I suspect that it will take time to get the new bits from Japan. Before anybody asks I was not curb crawling at the time LOL!
Re the Nurburgring - a bunch of about 30 of us (mostly scooby owners) have already been twice this year (Easter and June) and I have to say that that this regular trip is fantastic - great circuit, great bunch of lads/lasses (Petites LOL), plently of beer/tequila in the bar afterwards |PLS| the convoy there and back is great fun. Blade, can you post me in when arranging meets, trackdays. Live in Farnborough, but nearest motorsport preparation company ( Ti motorsport)who look after my Group N Evo 6 are in Grays/ Henley, so I have to cross over Caversham bridge regular like, never minded stopping off for a beer!
Perhaps you could arrange a car boot sale at the same time to sell off your wing mirrors etc! Shorty found a good pub in Twyford for a meet earlier this year, perhaps back there?. Brooklands airfield, Weybridge is a good place for a blast round, cheap to book too! Jason,Sorry not to make scooby meet next week, sunshine calls at bank holiday weekend. Put off planned Alps trip, might as well go to the ring at end of sept instead

It is on Saturday 22nd September.
Hopefully, it will be the first day that I have seen my EVO since JUNE! First shakedown day for all the new bits. Won't have everything on it, but hopefully (fingers crossed) will be running 380-400bhp (new turbo hasn't arrived yet). Lots has changed, so potential for it to go VERY wrong! Will bring my beemer too, though the new suspension for that hasn't arrived either!!!!
