Isn't it strange that with the imminent announcement of Channel 4's extensive coverage of the WRC in 2002, the coverage of this year's GB Rally was so utterly CRAP !

Furthermore, on tonight's BBC1 news, favourites for this year's sportsperson of the year were announced as David Beckham, Ellen Mcarthur, Lennox Lewis, etc ...but no mention of GB's World Rally Champion Richard Burns !!!!

Sour Grapes or what !

And that makes if different from every other year in what way?
EuroSport's coverage was much better (or, at least, less bad) then the Beeb.

Can't ever knock Eurosport. It's a free channel. BBC can firk off. ITV with F1 commercial brakes can firk off too. Haga back in Superbikes on an Aprilla??

Why on earth would you want Richard Burns as a nominee?

He's as dull as they get, never compliments the opposition and is always full of excuses. Hardly my definition of a 'personality'.

Sports Personality of the year,It would have if any of the nominations had one......
How can Richard Burns win it???
He is boring,he moans about everything and unless you like motorsport you have never heard of him.
Footy is the national game,Beckham led his country to the World Cup finals. He was always going to win......
