Has anyone on the MLR running a Bailey DV26 Dump Valve.

I have just fitted one to mine and although the car runs fine I have noticed that on tickover the first of the 2 pistons lifts up and it starts to hiss... Only very slightly and you struggle to hear it with the engine noise.

I believe it is letting air into the plenum rather than letting air out. I need to know if this is normal and if it is, isn't it a little bit dangerous letting air into your plenum with out being filtered first.

Not sure what to do leave it on or put something else in its place..

Help!

Hi Ian

The sound and the running of the car are superb. The only thing is the hissing on tickover, which I have been told by Bailey is normal and is the vacuum which is pulling up the first piston making the noise...

I will be checking it, but as you say may change it for something else in the future..

There is no adjusting screw on the Bailey...

Could you have a look at yours and see if the first piston is up when the car is on tickover and also put your ear next to it to see if you can hear it sucking in air..
