Hi Folks,
My wife is due to have our 1st baby boy in the next 3 weeks, we are both Italian and like unusual names. Im intrigued to know of any junior MLR members names.

Also, any childrens names which are shortened and the nick names annoy you as parents.....

Thanks Folks :D

Call him Max Power

Or give him a middle name of Danger

Max Danger Power would be even better. "Hi, I'm Max Power. Danger is my middle name."

See also:
Tarquin Crispin Faffington-Smythe
Legolas Elrond Greenleaf
Billy Bob Jim Bob
Ia Ia Cthulu Fthagn

PS none of these are serious suggestions

Why not follow the example of the Beckhams, and name your child after
a) the place he/she was conceived (supposedly)
b) a Shakesperian character
c) a shape

That would give you, for example
a) Notts (?)
b) Bottom
c) Square :D

Seriously, naming your children is really difficult if you don't want them to either have the same name as half of their class at school or stand out like a weirdo.

My children's names were inspired by a Sisters of Mercy song and a road movie. My son's middle name comes from the bloke who was man of the match for England in their cricket world cup game against West Indies on the night he was born - so maybe you should disregard everything I just wrote ;)

Could just as easily be Marianne or Lucretia (or Dr Jeep  ) but yes it is Alice. Since she is now a dedicated wearer of black she thinks its very cool to be able to tell her friends where her name came from :)
