I'm about to put an Autronic plug & play ECU (SMD) on my EVO VI. One thing that I was wondering about is if it will be able to control the secondary air control. Does anyone know anything about it?

Secondary Air System (SAS).

I have the Autronic ECU and as far as I remember it does not control the secondary valve. Mark Shead (MAD Developments) would be the best person to answer this question though.

Would this explain that before i had the Autronic fitted i would barely notice the air conditioning kicking in. Now after the Autronic i can distinctly feel the a/c come on and the obvious reduction in power.
Unfortunately because of the climate (Queensland Australia) barely a day goes by without having to run the a/c.
I would love to regain that feeling of not noticing when the a/c kicks in.

You need to check if you AC output has been turned on in the Ecu as it should work as stock,
No the SAS does not work.

Mark,
Could it not run the solenoid from the same output as the one for the throttle kicker or similar if you wanted to?
