James,

You probably already found this: Atom Owners Club and there is forum on pistonheads that the Atom club uses (linked from the OC site). Seems the feedback on cars and factory support is good :) Also Clarkson was wetting his pants about the supercharged version after he drove it round Dunsfold - not sure if thats good or bad?

PS: you didn't get the R500 that long ago - why selling? PM me if you want.

Cheers,
Steve.

Alright Steve, long time no speak.

Sh*te not having the Evo for me daily drive, although the amazing Mitsubishi L200 crewcab has some really good points, I just havt found them yet.

I have sent you a PM on caterham. The R500 is amazing. If I can make the sums work to run that and an atom aswell even better.

Anyone want to buy a child?

Ollie,

I am wanting something that will perform on the track but is blattable on the weekends on the road, the radical cant do this.

The Ultima, hhmmm.
Had a drive in one with Mr. marlow, Very nice, hot though, our cars aircon was shite. The problem with ultima's, or at least the ones (two) I have driven is I didnt think the set up was that good for track days, certainly the rubber costs would be pretty high. I do know they have had one or two racing in the GT series and maybe the teams have given them some feedback on suspension setups etc.

A also dont like the old amercain muscle in the car. Sounds nice but thats about it.

Does make goog numbers though 0-100-0 holder again, I think.

An untlima with a BMW M5 engine, now that may be something.

Any more suggestions?

Cheers

Have come across a few on track days, with the right driver they are real quick, the supercharged ones eat the evo.

In winter months you can always tell the Atom drivers as they are the ones that are dressed in thick ski gear, thats the only down side as i can see,

Im really considering selling my Evo 7 for the supercharged atom version. They look ballistic. Am i making a bad move guys?
I sold my caterham / Golf Anniversary for my evo - why - did not use the Caterham enough for the monthly expenditure during the winter months to justify owning it - the Evo - fun every day, whatever the day!

Oh - Safety - People just don't see you when driving a Caterham type of thing - if someone hits you (a lorry!!!!) 99% chance of you (and your partner) comming off very badly!

Scrappy, depends if your car is just a toy for summer weekends/warm trackdays or not. Atom = near zero practicality. But from all accounts this car is cracking fun: lets see what James says after his test drive...

Scrappy -

Radical will not pas the speed bump test, Atom will!

Evoblue -

CSR260 is apparantly much heavier than R500 so no real advantage in power to weight ratio - and thats what floats my boat.

Interiors, i have no idea, I bought 3 x evos FFS, interiors have never figured highly in my appraisals.

Driving the 220 tomorrow, will let you know whether its hype or not!!! :D

Please do mate :)

The Caterham mob clearly think the Atom is a threat as there is an 11 page 'Caterham vs. Atom' thread on Blatchat, mostly justifying why Caterhams are better (reasons given: heritage , lower depreciation :bored:, more club social events , more advice when things drop off  and best of all, practicality  ). Sounds eerily like the Scoobynet blinker squadron justifying why they don't drive Evos :D

Steve.
