I thought that you can use hand braking when driving because 4 wheels will be braked and you can brake the car transmisions. Rally cars have a system which allow drivers to use the hand brake while driving. Can we use hand braking while driving in our Evos?
You can use your handbrake with no problem with the rs or the rs 2.
I try to use the handbrake on the tommi makinen edition with ayc,and it's does not really work!
Anyway you have to use your clutch if you use the handbrake!
As far as I know decent 4WD rally cars have a handbrake system that disengages the centre diff when the handbrake is operated otherwise you can shag the diff with the strain it puts back through the transmission.
I don't suggest anyone trys handbrake turns in a 4WD car unless on a low traction surface e.g. snow!
put youre foot on the clutch and pull the handbrake very hard and very shortly just to pull the car into a slide then when you slide put the gear in first then floor it on a wet surface my friends told me thats how tommi is doing it we will make some camera action of it sometimehttp://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >
my quess is that the centre diff does not like it[img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >
