Anyone from the Slough area had an VIII stolen recently that had a carbon bonnet?

Asking as had a bloke offer me parts yesterday.... and there's no way he was an Evo owner.

He was in his mate's car (I suspect it was his mate's mum's car).... which was a 1.25 fiesta. Not really the type of car you cruise around in if you're an 18 year old Evo owner.

Too young, too chav.... and as he was talking about an VIII.... not a rep! :moon:

Oh, plus of course he stopped next to me at lights and tried to sell them to me through the window. Not exactly a nornal transaction. He'd also never heard of the MLR.... which is odd for any Evo owner under 60.

Just sounded like a list of parts stripped off a stolen car.

Mmm....if only there was some nationwide body of people concerned with issues of law and order that you could report such things to.

Report what? Some bloke asking if I wanted to buy some Evo parts? Not the biggest crime I've ever heard of. In fact, some might say, not a crime at all!!!

Therefore the police would laugh in my face.

In fact, even if I saw them stripping the car the police would probably laugh in my face. They're far too busy hiding with their speed guns.

I won't bother trying to help someone out who may have had their car nicked in future.

If someone has had their car nicked they will have reported it to the police. If you report that someone dodgy was trying to sell you VIII parts they can check on their system for outsanding crimes involving an VIII and possibly link the two.
