yeah i have bought 3 cars from them

My first Evo
My Impreza
This Evo

It is currently Dicksons who are carrying out all the bodywork to my Evo too along with our Magazine's RX7 too.

I always deal with Andy, top bloke, really into his cars (drives a mint X plate cossie with about 447bhp!)

They have a few evo's in just now and they look like good prices too. All their cars are low mileage and top quality.

I've not had direct dealings with them apart from a nosey around the showroom. Pleasant and didn't come across with the usual bull'

I know two people who have bought cars from them Evo and Scoob and have not had any issues that I'm aware of.

It's like anywhere, it's just your Donald Duck and how you handle any issues if they arise. Be bolshy (sp?) and get nowhere. Work the problem like adults and get a good relationship. Again that's got to be true of the dealer as well.

The interior is the wrong pics, its of the Blue STI that they have sitting in the corner of the showroom.

I have never had anything but good dealings with them and have recommended a few mates who have all bought cars there with no problems.

Had a look at a car there a few years ago and something about it didn't ring true.

DO NOT TOUCH THEM

maybe fraz has had good dealing with them but lets face it he works for a car mag. bad/good publicity.

evo jkp hit it on the head about relationships. i couldnt have been anymore helpful with the problems on the car, even trying to help them find the replacement parts that were faulty but they still fooked me around.

my came with a dodgy rear AYV diff. i noticed a banging on the test drive and asked what it was. they (Mr Andy Napier) said they would investigate and sort it. so when i goes up to get it and drive home its still doing it. i phoned them and asked what the problem had been and what they'd done to fix it. they said that my exhaust wasnt correct for the car (custom fit) and was fouling the prop shaft when i was cornering.

now that was after they had investigated it and reported back that there was visible signs of them hitting each other.

i took it back again to see if they could maybe reposition the exhaust to stop the knocking, then the mech came out and said ''wheres it hitting the prop about'' i said i dunno but i was told there was visible signs. blaa blaa blaa in the end there was no visible signs, the exhaust is a proper evo exhaust (5Zigen) it was a faulty rear diff all along.

i also had a noisey clutch bearing from the day i bought it. they said no its not its a twin plate clutch you have and thats the noise they make (similar has happened to another member recently) how could anyone be sure what clutch is in there without seeing it?????? thats beyond me.

it was also meant to have been serviced prior to me getting it. (full service ) i asked what was included they said oil, spark plugs and oil filter.

later when i checked the plugs i found they were japanese market ones. the oil filter which had been (supposedly) fitted in JANUARY had totally rusted and bubbled within 3 months. i only knew this when getting a service (different garage) the mech said how long has that been on there i said 3 month and all the mechs in the garage laughed. took it back to dicksons and before i showed them it i asked what brand they use for filters and they said a different one from what was on. but still denied not doing the service.

my tracking was out after having to get new tyres from them as when i bought it they (mr napier again) said it had new tyres. i noticed after a couple of months that they were almost worn out.
they did replace them though but when doing the tracking their mech came out and said to the service manager ''i'll need to remove the bumper i cant get the laser to line up because its in the way. the service manager had to show a time served mech how to adjust tracking gauges.

when i got the rear diff from them they had to get a ''specialist'' in to do it as they didnt know how to replace a diff. the ''specialist put the ayc pipes on the wrong way so instead of fixing me on a corner it was actually pushing me further out. i only found this out after demanding that mitsi look at the diff due to it squacking. the guy at mitsi said you better find another way home as this is not safe to drive.

they didnt send away the reg document to notify the change of ownership to me so for the first 6 month dvla thought the car was still theres.

theres loads more about them but need i go on about it?? i think you get the jist of the story.

go to mackay trading instead or buy private.

i also know of a lot of people buying from them who have had major problems.

i had to go through trading standards and the SMTA (scottish motor trade assoc. ) to get results from dicksons. it took me a full year to finally get them to put things right on my car.
