Went to view this today and the car seems sound enough but haven't got anything to go off with who's tuned it or built it, I think optimum performance did the engine but don't think there around anymore. Please help. And if I've put this in the wrong place, sorry I'm new to this. Thanks in advance.

Will be an fq 300 most likely. So many people miss selling these cars. Ive seen a yellow evo 9 and ruri blue evo 9 both advertised as an mr fq 360 but they never even made the hks in yellow or blue! When i quizzed the yellow one he removed the add and said it was sold then readvertised it

I would be concerned buying a specialist car that has been upgraded from a company that don't actually know what they have!?!
The only work they had done was a new mapp, they said it was cutting out so had it re done. There also was a rattle or vibration noise when the car was started but momentarily went when the engine was revved but came back when on idle.

The garage have a high spec big power Evo for top money but don't realise Mitsubishi have never made an MR FQ300. If the receipts back up the build and you can contact the builder to confirm the work it wouldn't be as big a gamble. Personally I would look at the cars for sale on here with detailed build threads, you can really see how good a car is that way.

Just my thoughts anyhow and I'm sure there will be plenty of differing opinions offered!?!

Yeah they don't seem to know much about the car, I tried to get hold of optimum performance (the company that carried out the work) but it seems they no longer exist, I have found the previous owner, just trying to get in touch with him. I think the gaurage that are selling it took it to TRL for a remap as it was cutting out when idling.
I do keep looking at other cars on here, i just fancy a forged 9.

TRL stopped trading circa 07/11/2016
I think he took it there in October or it could have been cpp, I did see him asking on here were would be best to get it mapped in the north west.

How much would it be to forge a nice 9? There plenty of stunning cars between 14/16k, that would leave you around 6/8k to get all the work done yourself with which ever company you feel the most comfortable with!?!

Hi Chris, I think the car is ok but it's not worth that money. They won't let you drive it unless you have the money there, well that's what they told me after saying I could drive it on the phone. The only thing apart from the price that put me off is how it's been treat while there, I mean the guy that works there had been using the car and he even said he's been hammering it! Also 2 gauges don't work, but he said he'd take them out rather than fix them quite sure that would cost just as much. And like I said they took the car to TRL to be mapped because it was cutting out.
How far is it for you to travel mate?

We know the car is a fq and not mr but our autotrader system doesn't give the option to choose just fq300.
