Softer right foot might make a difference. Problem is the car is desgined to be driven very hard on boost, not to crawl around town, i have the same problem with my car, also your just running it as well.

I didn't want to reply to this first off in case it was just me but it seems its not!
I have noticed this problem too and have put it down to the sensitive throttle. I have particularly noticed it when driving over roughish roads at slow speeds when trying to accelerate. You increase pressure on the peddle and start to accelerate, then you hit a slight bump/rut etc. and your foot bounces slightly on the peddle due to the hard suspension. You get a brief deacceleration and then when it recovers an acceleration again causing the 'lurch'. It can escalate as you are now causing your foot to dance on the throttle by your 'lurch'. I just take my foot off the throttle completely and let it settle before trying again. It is something you get used to and can drive around.

Anyway thats my theroy, now someone will say its wrong and my throttle is shagged!
G
HH6, I agree my 6 does exactly the same thing when going over bumpy ground slowly. Think that it is because the throttle is quite light, and as you say once it starts it gets worse unless you lift off completely.

As long as its not just my car ,i will learn to live with it. thanks for the help.
G
Yup
My current and previous 6 did this.

I think its just down to the hard VI set up, HH6 explained it perfectly.

I also think the pedal return spring (throttle spring) is not quite strong enough to bring the pedal back firmly.
G
Either your previous car was a Nova or you need driving lessons

What is this Anarchist?
Are you going through every single thread and putting a silly comment on the bottom of them just to bump yourself up to Master Member or something? If you have something valid to add then fair enough but please don't dig up old threads just to put some nonsense in them (there are plenty of current threads to do that in
G
I agree with HH6, if you,re going to make a negative comment make sure it is constructive or don't bother. We are not interested in boring childish ramblings!
G
I'm surprised you didnt say that before!
G
Yep, I realised this also. There's shítloads of threads where he's just added comments like I agree , I don't agree or something like that. Some people.... I really don't care about who's got which member status, but some seem to think it's important.

The Anarchist
For your information my last car was a corsa (one before that a nova )

nearly forgot ,i do have a licence and you obversly have a lot of spare time !

Unlike some of you guys I dont take myself to seriously.Im suprised it took you so long to catch on .Of course I was adding comments to reach master member, its just a game to make the point that with the auto system you have in place the membership status is meaningless.Status should not be based on on the number of hits ,but on a more meaningfull qualification. Its like if you visit a hospital often enough you become a fully qualified doctor. The only difference im sure between me and others is that I made it deliberately obvious.I believe that this register has potential. For me to be accused of being the sole source of negative comments from members like Claudios and Michael K, if it wasnt so absurd would be funny. In the evenings to relax I normally play computor games ,the reason I spend so much time on this register apart from the technical benefits is I find it entertaining ,and come on I wasnt that far out when I made my initial comments, there is not much difference between a Nova and a Corsa is there.Maybe as a new member I should no my place, then in time when I become accepted I can be as abusive and negative as other members who shall remain nameless.Have a nice day all I am prepared to accept my fate:):):):):)

Looks like the Anarchist is some teenager with GT3 and an internet connection.... Well, he's had us fooled for a while but that story about him racing Mika Häkkinen got me a little suspicious. The last two posts seem to confirm my suspicions...
G
The Hakkinen story was true .I am 53 with a sense of humour where is yours.God some of you are so far up your own arseholes you cant see daylight ,just chill out and get on the programme ,lifes to short and all that...............I have never joined a club before ,as I cant stand the politics, commitees, and conflicting egos,I was just testing the water.Maybe I should call myself Mr Softee and be cringingly nice to everyone Its not difficult to make yourself popular you just play a different part Im pleased to know that there are some of you that enjoy the crack. Now is the time to be myself ,see what you think !Have a nice day all ,Best wishes to HH6,Gwadd,Lee Legend,Simon 7,Pugsy(nice guy) and Daren.:):):):):)
