Aerial connection

Is the Evo aerial an amplified one? I ask as when i fitted my stereo i didnt connect up the blue power antenna wire and have a really bad reception. If i connect this wire up, will it amplify my signal thus improving reception?

Yes, but not a lot

The standard aerial is designed for the JDM market. They have a different FM frequency range

Ideally change the aerial to suit EU spec, be advise it's a PITA

job. Ive done it twice, never again

on my UK 8 MR the radio reception is too poor to actually listen to it

asking around a lot of people have this too

any ideas ? that are simple / easy ?

(other than listen to cd's)

Take it out altogether. The only In-car entertainment is under the bonnet

lol funny you should say that

i used to listen to cd/mp3 but recently i've had the ICE turned off with just evo soundtrack playing
