Model report done and thanks to a mega efficient service from NigelS I picked up my IX Gt yesterday - Can't recommend Nigel enough if your after a IX

Looks wise I think the IX changes, although subtle, all add up to make it look like a very different animal to my old 8 - The front esp is a great improvement IMO.

GT seats are superb - much nicer than the strange blue material in my old car and they seem to have a bit more side support

After 4 months without an evo to drive it feels quick :D VERY quick

Power comes in much lower down the rev range than my old VIII FQ-300 and it just keeps puling - another 100hp and lb/ft will make it a true beast very soon. But even as it is I would say that the extra flexibility of the MIVEC would give a good advantage around a track or on a fast B road.

Now the best bit - RS gearbox is fantastic, so much more precise and the gears seem to fall just where you would want them - 5th is still OK for a 80-90 motorway cruise without giving you a headache.

No- AYC - great, I actually feel like I'm driving this car - can't wait to get on a track but I've already been getting a feel around a few roundabouts ! I deleted the Bilstien option as I have some Cusco zero 2R to go on so it's only going to get better !

Brakes even feel quite good :confused: leading me to believe that they were totally knackered on my old car !

So I'm impressed so far - got to throw the first few subtle mods at it latter today then wait 1000 miles for the proper bits to go on for real power.

Sorry no pics till Monday - I lent my sister my digi camera for the weekend !

Picked mine up on Saturday also from Nigel :D ....must say the black is going to take some looking after :eek: ...already spent a good 5 hours polishing it...fitted some parts today slam panel,HKS boost guage,ralliart aero mirrors,ralliart oil cap and rad cap,arc heatshield.Will have to wait till after le mans till I get the Blitz nur on and HKS hard pipe kit and RSK ;)...then it will sound as it should...

If I can track my sister down with my camera I will try and post some pics - mirrors look real sexy !

setting of for France tonight (not in evo :( ) so that will be last chance for a week

Back fron le mans and got a few miles on the clock now so can start to push a bit more.

Car is a MASIVE chage over my old 8 - much better response from the Mivec and the RS transmission is the most fun i've had in a long while :D

Love it - It is the best evo yet

Will do some pics after work tonight ;) - needs a wash first !

Help - I just took some pics on lowest qualiy setting and they are too big to post !

How can i make them smaller or can I email them to some one with more PC knowhow thatn me to sort it out please ?

Been told this by a few peps and also a few say the 3.5" will fit !

Until someone has a go don't supose we will know for sure ?

How much does it foul by ? I have no problems with cuting holes in things if needs must

To be honest that so called 'diffuser' is nothing but for show. It cuts off almost immediately at the bottom so its more like a scooby airscoop than anything else. I still have to get round to putting a blanking plate in the inside of the diffuser otherwise there is a risk of the number plate ripping the diffuser in two due to the air velocity at high speed.

I would have definitely considered cutting the diffuser slightly to make it fit but my APS 3" is ready to be fitted so I'll just keep it until the 3.5" APS has been made to suit the nine. :)

Plus the 3" is straight so another reason to use it.

I'm sure a few of your customers MOTs/services can wait, you own the ramps afterall :D
