does anyone know the title of a film from the 80s i watched it when i had a commodore 64 these were all the rage at the time all i can remember about it is 3 kids build a 'spaceship' out of scrap its set in suburban america the 'spaceship' when fired up has like a bubble force shield and shoots up in the sky you see the thing fly straight up very fast away from the little houses im pretty sure its built in a scrap yard and the computer they have controlling it has the old dos formas screen with green writing all i remember is its a cool film and its not flight of the navigator.i really wanna buy it from ebay etc but dont know the title.

The film is called the Explorers and was realesed in 1985 i think!
