hi peeps glad to be part of the mitsi fraternity again with my first evo
previously enjoyed a gto:mitsi:;)
anyway have just bought from mitsubishi a touch up pen pack with laquer
and before applying just wanted confirmation that have correct shade:eek:
obviously shouldnt get it wrong as only half a dozen colours!! so its an fq in silver- labelled on pen as code- a19 sterling silver met
the guy put me off a bit saying not a perfect match ffs
also noticed everyone looking at me there which felt very uncomfortable
must be wrong time of month or something:angel: or a bloody long day:shake: anyone get this at the dealers??
cheers :smthumbup mj

It is very very difficult to touch in silver even with exactly the correct shade. It even depends on which way you brush or mix the paint. Those with silver cars will understand the frustration.

I bought a touch up paint from my Mitsi dealers, cool silver for an evo 8 I told them, when I applied it, it was brighter than the body paint. I just had a little chip on the door shut so hardly noticable anyway.

If it helps any, I bought a touch up kit from Paints4u.com (as mentioned above), it is a very good match straight from the pot. I've still to apply the clear coat which should blend it in nicely.
