Hi guys I've tried to search but not found the answers I need.

Has anyone successfully fitted the 4" induction kit to there evo 9 without use of a slimline fan?

It's to be mated up to a 80 series and will be running SD conversion and the standard recirculating dump valve.

Is the 4" over kill or will I have better results with the 3" intake?

I'd of just phoned Ross sport them selves but there away over the festive period and I want to order and make use of there current discount code :)

Thanks

I spoke to Ross when I was buying mine ready for the sd conversion and he told me to order the 3".
Thanks for the reply, did he say why to go for the 3" over the 4"?

Also any chance you could pop up a picture of it fitted aswell please :)

The 4" kit is quite tricky to fit with stock type turbo. It is doable but is unessesary.
As a rule of thumb use a 3" intake up to flowrate of 50-55lb/min
Gas flow calcs are complicated but as from a tuning perspective we dont want to see any negative pressure in the intake pipe, this data is easy enough to log and decide if your intake is large enough. Ofcourse going larger than the turbo needs will not yeild anymore efficiency.
