my best mate has got no 16 type uk 22b and my car is a RC built car and his car is well sorted water injection gems als 330mm ap brakes 20g turbo 850cc injectors ledas etc etc what a car he drove my car EVO 6 which is full spec brakes 6 pot ap racing dms suspension 400hp rc engine and said that it was the only car that felt as good as the 22b and i would agree with that given the chance of a 22b or evo 6 400hp i would say the 22b has to win . but in real terms there is not a hair in it mate . lovely car has too stand with the other greats

RS500 , intergrale evo2 , 22b , evo6 theses are cars by which others have been judged and all of which i would buy given the chance

Anyone remember top gear ... 22B vs EVO 5. Both were standard cars, 22B had great straight line power, but Tiff had problems powersliding the car, where as the EVO 5 was powersliding corner to corner no problem.

I have driven a 22B, and although the car handled exceptionally well, and felt very confident around bends, did not get as much thrill with it as driving an Evo IV, V or VI. I havent had much experience, but would say the the V an VI were quicker.

Ive seen 2 rolling road dynoed , neither produced more than 300 bhp. Generally the concensus is that the suspension is 2 stiff and they ain't fast enuf 4 the money.........................thats unbiased of course :)

Johnny

The caterham was a hybusa powerd thing pretty quick car

My car donuting @ Brunters that was with a standard diff didn't last to long after that, I took the car to a 1/4 mile event @ the pod my first run it totally broke the diff the casing and the planet gears i couldn't even get it re-built,normal diffs don't last long on a moddified cossy

A mate of mine imported one of the first 22B's into the UK and got me interested in the Jap performance scene. He is a total addict and has spent serious wedge getting it heavily modded. He runs a performance car bulletin board (with a Scooby bias), so post something on http://bbs.22b.com and you will get plenty of info.

Steve.
