i would just like to say congrats to MOTHERTRUCKER for managing a 12.13 today on a std engine,std clutch with only exhaust,filter and remap to 1.9 bar on std turbo.

It was blo*dy amazing as its still going strong

as a guy said today, he drove a grenade on wheels to a very surprising result.

Now that is impressive - even more so on a standard clutch


Mine just used to slip and the car didnt move


Sounds like either a) he has a very good clutch and b) if he hasnt and does get a decent clutch he will be really flying!

he has an 8 clutch and flywheel in the 4 but it is the std item. You could smell from the side of the track but off he went like a rocket regardless.We had one car trailer to share between 4 cars if we broke down,so he took the risked the odds and just gave it everything it had

man how is it even possible standard evo 286 bhp or 276 in most cases with a standard clutch, thats too much of a good time i say, maybe im wrong God knows just doesnt add up

Strange one alright moo, but i was there??? All i managed was a 12.4 with my car

moses read the first thread again. Its not a std evo but it has a std clutch. The list of mods are this on the evo4

Autronic ecu holding 1.9 bar boost
std evo6 turbo
std evo5 cams
std evo5 injectors
scorpion 2.5 exhaust
hks racing suction kit
STD evo 8 clutch and flywheel

ohh and i managed an 11.59 with wheel spin right through first gear. i need an rs diff badly to get traction

and it was straightliners doing the timing,not a stopwatch

edited to put STD infront of the cams and turbo :coolsm:

of course it would but if u changed the clutch would have def been under 12 though

Nice times but at what speeds ?

you AF1 should be over 120-122 mph easily

mine was 122 mph but wheel spin is killing me off the line. My first 60 feet is 1.888 which isnt great

The 4 was doing 108 at the trap and his 60ft is about 1.5 or 6. Not sure will need to see the slip again to check the 60ft

John did you get a printout of your times? I was looking to get one for my own times

yeah i took 4 runs and got a printout for them all. I was pis*ed when put out in the quater finals by a skyline. it was first past the post and he got there first with a worse time. I could see me gaining all the way up the straight but nowt i could do

I was still on the limiter getting ready when the lights went green and he took off. That will teach me to stay awake next time :blah:

That was a cracker day, it was good 2 put faces 2 names. Good laugh all day. The best laugh was seeing Paul Swift pull handbrake turns in between a 350Z and another micra. I thought he was driving a bus cause of the gap he was leaving. Never laughed so much in all my life!

Was good to see soooo many evo's at it. And Fensport's Corola was beat by a local guy in his 500BPH Scooby!

well in that case the most important part was the fact that the princess treated the day like a roundabout doing a record breaking 18 runs and refusing to get out of the queue all day except for toilet breaks.

they probably will. if not try D&H events. Did you not collect your cards from the box at the start line??

I did offer her a go in the evo but she declined for some reason.I think its the twin plate makes her nervous.

I also got a nice little engraved plate for the fastest 4wd before the finals
