I know a few of us are a little confused to this 1000 mile service on new evo's. My dealer says it's not necessary, whilst others are still having it done. Surely Mitsubishi would update the service book if it was no longer required.........................

Can we shed a little more light on the subject?

1000 mile service has been deleted and the factory has reccomended mineral oil changes at 4500 miles.

The service books were all printed when the cars arrived in the country, so still have the 1000 mile service in them.

We still suggest/advise to customers to follow the old schedule which is to do oil change at 1000 miles Semi synthetic, and then change to fully synthetic at 4500 miles and keep it running on that.

All the Mitsubishi menu pricing systems have mineral oil priced into them so your bills maybe higher than the system says.

Running on mineral oil will not affect your warranty.
