New vs Old

For a few years now I've wanted a later model evo, specifically an evo 8mr/9 in red. Well a few weeks ago I finally found one. Low owner, low mileage car and for once - local to me. It needs some tidying here and there, especially the wheels but its a good base to work from.

I've still got the 6 and will be storing that now for the foreseeable.

I very nearly sold my V last week to buy a IX, just couldn’t bring my self to do it, and couldn’t justify buying he IX outright when we’re completing on a house next week!

That red IX looks great though, has to be red or white for me!

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the 2 Evo club; I also have a 9 and a 6(RS though), both great cars and for different reasons agreed!

Quite a lot of progress made tidying the car up so far. First up was a wheel change - I picked up a nice set of gloss black Evo 10 alloys off here. Changed the look of the car massively imo.

Then yesterday I relaqured the brake calipers and carbon spoiler blade. Just working my way through swapping bolts in the engine bay for oem ones Iíve had zinc plated.

Cars coming along nicely now. We had a ramp spare at work for a few days so i made use and gave the underside a quick going over. Had the the subframes, roll bars, brackets and covers powder coated to freshen it up a little. Put new bushes in the rear arms and a full set of new drop links.

Also managed to get the Ohlins fitted and aligned which made a real difference over the BC coilovers that were previously on.
