Will i get to 500/500 from a 9.8 turbo with a 10.5 hotside

Before you reply saying im bonkers please keep reading.

This hasnt become a quest of mine but im finding it more interesting everytime i think about it..

Im currently developing my sprint car and after deciding i couldnt afford to splash out on an 80 series i decided to stick with the standard tubby.

My current figures using the turbo are 442hp (MLR rule) and 480lb ft

Im almost certain i can gain another 20lb ft but the question is can i get the magic 500hp with this turbo?

I open this up to a debate and poll

If these figures are correct you have probably just uncovered the quickest spooling 500 bhp turbo on the market today and GT30 / S205 sales will fall through the floor.

If it is eventually claimed I would want to see it on a seperate / independent dyno.

A more appropriate poll title......

"Will my standard turbo **** itself and take out my engine at 2.2 bar"

In all honesty this is a situation that might happen, however i dont drive my car on the road that much so is mainly an experimental base..

Im in no way recomending that this is done by other people..

IIRC chaz83 has already done this on a V, maxed out the standard 10.5 turbo and made about 380/418 (I think)
