Pyrenees Black Evo IV Track Car
Hi
I have decided that the time may be right to move my track car on due to lack of use. The car is a 1997 Pyrenees black Evo IV GSR, which I purchased around three years ago from Capt Mike on this forum. The car has around 100k on it but this is a mixture of miles and kph. The car is currently plasti dipped in matt black to help protect the ok ish black paint underneath. The car is fully road legal, it is due its MOT in the next two weeks which I know it will fly through so very happy to put a full test on it. I have used this car to complete many a track day in the UK and two trips to the Nurburgring. The car gets used as it should but is well pampered in my ownership it’s never spent a night outdoors etc. I took the car off the road in Oct 17 to refresh the rear underside after reading other people’s horror stories. This is my fourth Evo which I fully inspected before buying so there was nothing major needed. The car was stripped to bare metal before being repainted using the rust buster range of products epoxy 121 etc. The car was treat to all new bushes sensors etc and all the bolts and arms and shafts etc where refurbished at the same time. The car is by no means concours however there is nothing to hide here and the finish is to a good standard. I have photos of the restoration and any welding needed. There's no wax oil here ![]() Onto the cars spec briefly (there will be bits I’ve forgotten) Exterior Standard Evo iv plasti dipped matt black Evo V spoiler Genuine Rs fog light blanks ACW poly windows the fronts have sliders fitted All wiper arms, mesh metal work refurbished All arches rolled (no front arch linings) Amber indicators Interior Cars pretty stripped so no back seats, parcel shelf, door cards or head lining No AC Car retains carpet, most front interior plastics arm rest etc Stereo fitted Genuine white Ralliart gear knob Brand new Corbeau pro series buckets on alloy Corbeau rails bought Jan 19 Willian’s harnesses Motocorsa Suede Steering wheel Cusco dash dodger cage Hand held fire extinguisher OMP helmet hammock Engine Bay Evo 8 engine supplied and fitted by C.P.P Nr baffled sump Tomei plug cover Carbing rad cooling plate Fp manifold wth new studs and gaskets Ctec 3” modular downpipe Ctec 3” silenced decat Fujitsubo 3” exhaust Ctec Garret cored intercooler Custom hardpipes Hks hardpipe with hks filter Forge Blow off valve SFS balck uprated hoses for the intercooler and coolant Evo 8 MR turbo Hardwired walboro 255 New Yuasa 5000 bat Mapped by C.P.P Underside and drive train Standard 5 speed GSR gearbox no faults ACT 7-9 Clutch with uprated lightweight later flywheel Standard transfer box diff bolts replaced by C.P.P 8MR rear AYC diff rebuilt by CliveW at transmission dynamics Bedford Refurbished AYC pump by Richard Hart warranty ran out 25.05.19 GBE braided AYC lines Evo V front wishbones Cusco uprated front ARB Everything to rear of car refurbished Mixture of Ralliart bushes/ poly bushes All ali rear arms apart from bottom steel trailing arms Drive shafts have been fully refurbished, new gaitors painted etc New bearings, Speed sensors etc Tank refurbished All aluminium arms and diff carrier cleaned by Dave Cee All bolts rezinc coated by Dave Cee Whiteline uprated 24mm rear ARB with stout mounts Cusco rear brace Brakes Later Evo Brembos fitted all round rear calipers are as new fronts could do with a repaint. The car is running just shy of 400/400 and makes for a good laugh and many smiles when driven properly. The car is located in Sheffield and I can be contacted via pm on here. I have loads of photos of the car and of the underside but the general appearance hasn't changed much since this thread https://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=572984 The car is still in very occasional use and I will take some new photos tomorrow which I can email to interested parties. The car will be doing the evening session tomorrow at Donnington park if anyone wants a look around it or to see it in action. Please I don't want any hassle regards the price it’s worth it £8000 with one set of wheels A deal can be sorted with all wheels, spares and the Alcons.
