I took a good look...they were ok...i got some rust bullet down there and then loads of cavity wax (clear/cream,as i dont like the brown black stuff) and let it drip out.

Mahoosive jobs/parts list left..just some...


4 Brand new brake lines from mitzi. £120
Refurb all arms/diff/prop etc etc
Paint sump
Powdercoat brackets etc
New Ralliart bushes
Cambelt kit.../aux belt
ALL fluids new
Refurb fuel tank or source mint one.
Fuel filler pipe new.
New fuel pump and filter
4 brand new mitzi wheel bearings...£600
Russ fellows exhaust new
Dash reflock (in progress)
Respray front end (stone chips)

Just part of the list.

Great job phil. Have you refurbished all the underside parts as well ?? What's the best cavity wax to use??

That's a good sort out for a good few years to come,done same myself.really need to use it more though

I guess doing the underside is only the half of it when you have to refurb all the other parts too. Great to see these threads though.

I'm on my creeper on axles stands. Its not fun at all

But the end result will be worth it

One question, When you sprayed the underside did you put the bolts back in to all the various places and masked them up? Otherwise wouldn't all the new paint fill the encapsulated nuts ??

I put some in,some not in...i masked all visable threads....ive just put the bolts into all the holes sprayed...they fit fine.

Its now silver!!.....2 coats of satellite silver and lacquer

Time to bolt new/refurbed bits back on.


















Thats where im up to now.

Engine bay is next...then full build up.
