Defi Gauges Help?

Hi

I've currently got a Defi Controller (DF05002) and a Defi Boost Gauge (DF04301) that was bought by the previous owner

Ive now got a triple gauge panel being made so need 2 more gauges for it

Am I right thinking that oil pressure and oil temp are most important

If so are these the correct 2 gauges to match my controller and boost gauge:

Defi DF10201 - Oil Pressure
Defi DF10401 - Oil Temperature

And will I need anything else to fit them?

Thanks Gary

Lol, yea I'm pretty sure these are the extra gauges we need from Tegiwa, all tho the boost gauge does look slightly different so am still not 100%

http://www.tegiwaimports.com/select-...ges-white.html

This is what my current controller and boost gauge looks like

If any1 can confirm the Tegiwa Gauges are correct, that would be great

And also if anything else is needed to fit them, I.e: sensors and wires

Thanks

Be careful they are not for the new style Advanced controller as i believe they do not work with the old style you have. They should be called Defi Link meter BF gauges. The control units and gauges were discontinued around 2010-2012 i believe.

I have the old style also and am finding it hard to find the correct gauges.

Cheers mate

Yea the Tegiwa type are called defi link meter bf advanced gauges

Does this mean they defo won't match up with my defi control unit version 2, and I will need a new defi advanced control unit and new advanced boost gauge aswell

My previous owner only bought it in 2010

That's Bo11acks

Yeah i believe so mate.

I dont know if it would be possible to change the plug on the new gauges or wire the harness in directly to the unit but im not willing to spend the money to find out!

I wont be buying Defi this time round simply due to the fact they just discontinued these and you cant get them or parts now! It wouldnt of been so bad if they made the new gauges compatible with the old. Its good kit but i think there are other good options out there now.

The only other option would be to buy second hand but even then its hard to find them individually. Everyone wants to sell them as a set.

I've found a guy selling two 2nd hand BF meter white 60mm gauges which I think are the correct ones for me

He is selling them with the controller tho and won't split but he is unsure if it is a version 2 controller or not

It looks like mine but I'm not sure what the others versions look like

Can any1 confirm this is a version 2 and these will be the correct gauges for me

Many thanks
Gary

No bother mate. I know what like it is!

Im considering a dash display to work with my Motec ECU and doing away with the gauges.

From what i hear r-spec do good gauges at decent prices although i have never used them Check their website or give them a shout on here.

It looks like the right one. The advance unit is totally different.

Good luck!

Thanks again buddy

He's going to get back to me with the exact part numbers on his gauge boxes, so hopefully they are what I need

Yea a proper dash display connected to the Motec will go great on your Monster 400

Good luck too mate
