* * * MLRSS Teesside Sprint Postponed * * *

Hi everyone,

Regrettably due to only having received 11 bookings and 1 deposit for the Teesside Sprint next weekend, I've had no option but to speak to the circuit and ask if we're able to postpone the event (as I had no intention of cancelling it!).

Thankfully they've been really helpful and said yes, so the Pace Ward MLRSS round at Teesside Autodrome will now take place on Saturday 22nd October (3pm - 11pm), which also means our first evening sprint will also be the MLRSS Final!

I'm sure I don't need to say I'm sorry to have to make this decision and I hope it doesn't cause you any inconvenience, but it's simple economics and the club cant afford to lose such a large sum of money. I hope you all understand and will look forward to taking part in the new Pace Ward MLRSS Final under floodlights, which will be a cracking finale to the 2011 Series.

Thanks,

Darin

It is good news for me as I will be able to take part in this one now.

I was gutted that it was originally scheduled when I was out of the country.

Great another waste of money booking boats and hotels

Could you of not put a post up asking people to pay up or this will happen ?? as lots of people hold off till the last minute

I really thought this would be a very very busy one

not good news at all and a sure sign of the times, i know of 3 that were going to book up over the weekend. i know whats done is done but is their no way of a thread of people who are intending to book over the next 5 days and at least seeing what going to be coming into the mlr bank balance? you never know it may be turned into a profit

i hope things get better for the mlr and this may just be a nudge to get less cost involved in the sprint through the regs

Hi Martin

There is the possibility of thread of course, but that may be an indication but unless they are booked, we can't take it as 'read' that they are actually going to attend.

Pretty gutted too as my mate and I are dual driving but I'm waiting two days to make sure my broken toe heals ok. Darin, can we not reconsider if a certain number of people pay by a date certain?
