Clarion head unit and Kenwood changer

My sister has a 306 with a clarion head unit and 6 disc changer. The changer died but i have a 6 disc kenwood changer. Will this just plug and play?

The multiplug fits, but the head unit just says 'connect' or 'connecting' and this just keeps flashing but nothing works

Any ideas???

Stu

Ok, so even though the plug fits, the wiring inside the connectors may work differently so need an adapter, am i understanding that correctly

Is the adapter the type of thing you can get from halfords, or maplin?
