***MLR Go Karting Championship 2010*** ROUND 4!!!!!!

Back In 2009-2010, the MLR held various Endurance Karting Events.

It was a highly competitive and very popular event with teams coming from all over the UK with which even

Included a CHAMPIONSHIP TABLE to add a little extra spice!

Excellent Review from the last Round by kins:

https://www.lancerregister.com/showpo...8&postcount=98

We have now agreed a date and venue to hold the fourth round, which some of you will be pleased with it being bang on in the middle of the country (WEST MIDLANDS )

The Track:

http://www.cannonraceway.co.uk/index.htm

The Day:
Date: Sunday 5th December 2010
Venue: Cannon Raceway - Indoor Circuit (WV14 8XR)
Karts: New Batch of 270cc Single Engine Pro-karts
Number of Teams: 6 (min) to 10 (max)

Times:
13:30 Arrive, registration and get race suits and helmets
14:00: Briefing
14:30: Qualifying
15:00: 2.5 hr Endurance Race
17.30:00: Trophy Presentation

Teams:

We need a minimum of 6 teams (and a maximum of 10) Teams should have a name and between 3-5 drivers depending on how much driving you want to do. I think 4 per team is a good number to give each driver a good amount of time in the kart without waiting to long for their turn to come round again, ie: 4 drivers = 37.5mins each, or 5 drivers = 30mins a kart, depending on how each teams want to play their tactics.

All drivers need to be 18 yrs and over.

Race Rules:

Each team will do approx 7-11 pit stops and will do a refuel stop. You can drive for as long as you like as its up to you to work out your own teams strategy, and team members will choose when to hold out your pit board to call you in - but you must make the set amount of pit stops per team. The top 3 winning teams will all get a trophy and maybe even some MLR prizes too!

Costs & Bookings:

The cost per Team is £140 (which only works out to £28.00 each for a team of 5 drivers, or £35.00 each for team of 4) and bookings can be made by Contacting Myself on this Forum.

*Please note these will be per Team (not per Person) so each "Team Captain" will need to manage their team and collect the money from their drivers*

Payment Deadline:

All payments need to be made by the 26th November 2010.

Banter:

Once you’re booked in I’ll add your Team Name to the thread and then start the banter about who’s going to be Lewis Hamilton or Driving Miss Daisy!!

After the race:

Close to the time, we will be arranging some sort of pub so we can go for a drink for those that want to stay on or are staying the night in a hotel nearby.

TEAMS:

01 - Team Midland Bombers (Tonks) PAYED
02 - Team Lost the Plot (reisskhan) - PAYED
03 - Team Brown GP (Woodchop 2000) - PAYED
04 - Team Telford (watchman) - PAYED

How to Pay:

https://www.lancerregister.com/showpo...2&postcount=22

Whichever member would like to participate but does not have a team put your name down and i'll try me best to add or form you into a team

Also if we get the full 10 teams and track pemitting i might even try organising some nice and spicy Pakistani Food for a little extra cost towards the effort

You guys will enjoy it (curry, rice, nan, chicken legs)

Think i should serve the food first to slow you's down

UPDATE:

1.) Double Points System

As you know theres a Championship Table in place (follow the link below for full details, current standings and championship scoring system)

https://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=314209

All teams will get double the amount of points in their respective finishing positions. Great if you need to jump a position or if you missed any previous rounds.. Also good for any new coming teams

So for the guys who have participated in all rounds i recommened you get in and kick some a..s as theres a lot of points to drop

2.) Aftermath Food

Hopefully no promises as of yet but i'll be arranging some delicious Pakistani Food for all teams and spectators.
So all peeps are requested to stay behind, munch up fully then head off home

Not really expecting any funds towards this but obviously any kinda funding received will be appreciated and giving in a good cause

I'll leave this to you boys to decide then
