Ohlins top mount bearings (Knocking)

Well my ohlins on my evo 6 has started knocking. Think it might be topmount spherical bearings but dont know where to get replacements. Anyone know where to source them. Dont feel like paying the £400+ for replacement topmounts.

Stupid question if I cant find the bearings can you put ralliart top mounts on ohlins coilover suspension. ?

I can sort it for you for much less than that.

The only issue is that I daily my car so difficult to send off the topmount for repair as car would be out of action. Can you supply just the spherical bearings?

Yes no problem, but there is 2 different types, so would need some measurements to ensure they were correct.

No worries that would be great. What measurements do you require. I assume I can take them without removing the suspensions.

Need the monoball inner diameter & thickness.
You should be able to sort quite easily, remove the top nut, drop the spindle down and remove the top mount without removing the whole leg. (May need to disconnect ARB link to get enough articulation)

Hi thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I am not very mechanically savvy so may have to wait until it goes back to the garage to sort that. You said there was 2 types of bearings I just wondered how much they were and whether it was viable just to buy both types and my garage can fit whichever it is saving on having to take the suspension apart a couple of times. Thanks for all your help

Yes that would be possible.
If you know the purchase date I should be able to work out which one it is with 90% accuracy!
If you can drop me an email we can sort from there: [email protected]

Hi the bearings are available but they are rather expensive, £130 each. I did manage to find them cheaper in the end. The code for the bearing that fitted my ohlins suspension was MBWT16 made by Minebea.
