EVO VI RS seats.

Good day all,

I have recently become the owner of a 1999 EVO VI RS, the interior as you know is quite spartan in this model. I am looking to install some bucket seats, but have heard various reports abuot it being quite dificult to find ones that will fit correctly. seen lots of complaints about sitting to high etc:

any word of wisdom / advice would be much appreciated.

Raymond

Can't help on which seats will fit but if you do replace the fronts then make sure you look after the originals as they're worth some money since people are now wanting to take cars back to standard and they are becoming difficult to find...

Let's have some piccies of the car please (and good choice as I also have the same car )

Have a look on here for the interior from a V or VI GSR will fit in straight swap. And keep the originals stored.

And they probably still should put them in the bin - because - as you already know - they were *supposed* to be swapped out straight away and were only included as the cheapest most basic "disposable" seat set solely in order to get the car on the road and sold...

While I do fully understand the "return it to standard" mind-set - for a normal car - I really don't understand the "return to standard" notion for an Evo RS version, where the seller's intent was always that you would toss these seats in the skip as soon as you took delivery of the car.

Colour me bewildered, perplexed, and discombobulated.

go and find a normal 1999 GL lancer model - that will have the same **** seat in

You will probably buy the who car compared to what RS seats cost

Noted on keeping the originals, only reason i want to change out is that i am planning to do a few track days, and don't want to end up on the passenger side side while cornering.

have you done anything with the boot lining? as stock its just bare metal, after putting in fuel cell and getting all wires / lines run, i want to put in some sound proofing / acoustic mat to try and drown out the hum of the external fuel pump

I will need to figure out how to put up pics again
