Evo Restoration in Ireland

Hey guys, the time has come to get some serious underbody work done. The sills failed the NCT and the rest of the car needs attention before its too late.

Can anyone recommend someone in Ireland that they have used for this type of work please. Im tempted to cross the pond on this one but would like to know if I have any serious options here first.

Also is there a 'how to' on approaching this type of work.... like things to know before handing the car over. I have never done anything like this before and would really appreciate any advice on the subject.

Thanks a mil.

So I got a price of 5K for full strip down of car including running gear engine box etc. Chassis is blasted, other parts cleaned up and painted/blasted depending on the part and any welding required is extra.

Is this about right for this kind of work? whats prices like in the UK for this?

That sounds about right, iv done a few evos over the last year and they have been around that price and more in some cases as there is alot of work involved and materials/parts needed.

Do you mind me asking where you got this quote from?

Did they see the car in person before quotation?

Car wasnt inspected. Price is from Ace Molly Wexford and is only a starting price I suppose. Im sure I will run into other issues as with all these kind of jobs hard to gauge until you take it apart.

I have looked into some of his previous work and he seems to have done a few evos, sti's, supra, fords etc. and all looks to be excellent work
