The final straw was advice from some people who know what they are talking about saying it was beyond repair .
its proper rotten, theres nothing left of the filler neck or where the filler neck attaches to the body, nothing left really on either sides inner quarters, Chassis legs are corroded big time on the inside, when i clean up the underside with a wire wheels etc it just doesn't clean up , it basically destroys the metal. leaving it very thin and can then easily put screwdrivers, fingers etc through the metal. It was always ambitious but its beyond a joke.
The sellers description was that this was a solid shell, its far far from solid.
the seams are all swelling and corroded , i just couldn't be confident that i wouldn't be constantly fighting corrosion.
Lesson learnt! must inspect inspect and better inspect in future, there was a lot hiding under the rear bumper.
I still have it, but i won't be going any further with it, the parts i have gathered so far will be used on an 8 .
Its F*&ked as they say!

Doesn't really matter if it was a 7 RS or Sprint over than front seats it's exactly the same car
