I'll be either removing the aluminium splitter and replacing it with a Carbon Mods one of have it powdercoated black.

Shabby oil cooler

Arches not looking too bad

Rear end stripped. Anyone want AYC?
Whats the best way to remove the old underseal / waxoyl ?

What he said.

Underseal applied on smooth surfaces comes off easiest with a paint scraper.

Small update...

Finally home after being away for 2 months. Plenty of Evo related goodies have built up.

I'll start getting down and dirty with the car again tomorrow and continue with reconditioning the underside.

Here's a taster.

Quaife LSD

Rear camber bolts

Ralliart Bushes to go with the alli arms.

Largest oil cooler (19 row) I can squeeze behind bumper.

Brake lines, clutch line, turbo oil feed & returns

Update

Removed transfer box and front subframe yesterday along with brake a fuel lines. (Sorry no pictures)

After some deliberation I decided to remove the stone guards as they were looking a bit tired and new ones have proven hard to come by.

Fuel filler neck guard MK.2

These parts and more came with me this morning to the coaters where they'll be blasted, primed and coated.

Parts to be coated black:

Silver:

Still a long way to go with preparing underside:

When it comes to nuts and bolts, the original heavy duty axle/suspension bolts will be cleaned up and zinc coated. But everything else will be replaced with new.

Spent a fair few hours measuring up bolts and screws with a vernier & thread gauge.

Also received my Whiteline ARBs I ordered during Indigo-GT's sale.

Must feel good putting the grinder down for the last time. You VI is coming along nicely now, have you decided what to do with the engine yet?
