Warning - 'Clocked Evo'
Take care lads (and ladies)
2005 Evolution MR340FQ number 311 Reg. KA05 EVO (formerly WX05 AVO) Cool silver I bought her new and after almost 11 years ownership, sold her last year with 123,000 miles covered. She went with every piece of paperwork including the original sales invoice, fully stamped service book and the genuine mileage was on every MOT cert and APT service invoice. Imagine my surprise when i heard she turned up at APT yesterday with 60,000 miles on her as well as 'paperwork' to support this... I don't have the engine or chassis numbers unfortunately, but have put her reg number above, plus the original number she came with (which i changed when she was a few months old). Just a warning to anyone who might look at her. She was a good car up to and including when i sold her but obviously she has a been a 'bit' further than her paperwork would now suggest... cheers Ian

Paperwork to support this? How?
Let's be honest it's not the first and will not be the last time an evo is showing the wrong mileage ![]() |

Don't get too hung up on worn pedals, steering wheels, my works van has only done 15k miles and the clutch pedal rubber is on its way out
![]() Edit to say. My works van is a Ford. Lol Last edited by staffi; 22-03-2016 at 20:22.. |

Funniest thing is people buy in mileage when we all know evos are money pits , why not look for one that is cleaner and do the no brainier look at it . Some hi mileage evos that have been cared for are in better nick then cars 30000 miles less

Don't want to get into politics but leo6072 car is nut and bolt clean all changed the guys totally committed he has taken his Evo to the next level I can't keep up . At a guess his car is 55000 miles but I have seen low mileage cars and Leo's is far better . My point is don't be concerned with miles but look at the big picture . If Leo ever sells I might even buy it myself .

I have no history with my Mak but tbh I'm not bothered by that at all, I went into knowing that and bought it, I'm not daft enough to think it's not had paint here & there etc but for what I paid it's a bloody nice clean car, I didn't pay anywhere near what some have paid for theirs ( not as if that matters) but my decision was made on condition. Milage on my car is just sub 50k and like you say Gav I've seen 15k milage cars in poor condition
