Ideas to work around blanks in rear boot (Evo 6)

Might sound stupid, but I always thought Evo 6s looked better without the additional lights (fog lights on LHD cars, garnish lights on others) on the boot. But removing them leaves quite large holes.

What would be an elegant solution to "fill" these gaps without having to paint the whole boot or buy a new one?

If your car is white, I'll swap bootlids.
