Yes he’s top notch. Making this patch is great fun

I’m stuck on E5 pins 36, 77.

And I’m looking in to a IX fan module to control the rad fan I think

Any thoughts?

Sorted a few more

Also sorted all of MIVEC wiring . Getting there , any ideas on which diagnostics pin I should use on the IX ECU? 56,62 or 79 ? I’m going to get the diagrams out later and study them

IX ECU pins are
56 - I/C Spray Relay
62 - Air Inlet Temp
79 - ACD input (signal)

PM me your email and I'll forward last known good IX pinout

You are going to run mivec engine on earlier evo?

I run IX ecu on my IV (not mivec yet) and it does not need fan controller.

Yes on a 5rs , Iím making a patch loom for an OE IX ECU to get running and set up. Will be going aftermarket at some point once EVO is set up etc.

Oh really? How have you set that up? I thought the rad fan was ECU controlled?

This works same way in case of IX ecu than 7/8 ecu in 4-6, no difference in fan control. Do you have any old evoscan excel sheets showing how to set wirings when using 7/8 ecu in 4-6? Of course then just find what are corresponding pins in 3-plug ecu but idea is the same.

I have all the pin out diagrams . Also all the wiring diagrams. No I donít have the spreadsheets? Do you?

Fan control on E5 pins 20 and 21 is hi and low respectively. But E9 is one feed pin 18 as the fan module controls it. Or am I missing something?

Thanks for commenting

Leave 18 disconnected.

E5 -> E9:
20 -> 30
21 -> 31

Ok, if RS wiring is different it might not work. What I told is what I used in my 4.

This is my problem

Iím pretty sure if I source a later fan module and use pin 18 it should work? Failing that I could use a temp switch and a relay?

Thanks for trying !

I need to have another proper look at the circuit diagrams. But while your here do you remember the idle switch pin on the IX? I have it as 47 ?

Iím also lost at present on the 3 diagnostics pins on the V ECU?

Sorry I meant pins 56,62 and 79 on the 5 ECU. They are all labelled diagnostics? Iím trying to find the IX equivalents? I can only source 1 which is pin 100.

Iím guessing as mine is an RS the Evo V pin 40 - Alarm is N/C?
