Live Timing Javelin Sprint Series Snetterton 2018

Just a heads up for anyone interested in the Javelin Sprint Series. They have live timing this year if anyone wants to keep an eye on what's happening.

Decent result Jake - well done. Not sure I would fancy it with an 80 car field - glad I didn't go really as it's a hell of a distance to go for 4 runs and standing around in the ****ing rain.

Timed runs Phil... not sure how many they would have had inclusive of any practice runs.

How many in total Jake?

You got 2 sighting laps behind safety car. 1 practice lap and 4 times runs. A lot of cars went off in the morning so lots of stoppages. Plus it's a long lap at 2 and a half to 3 minutes a lap in the wet it ended up taking a while to get through all the cars.

Should have got more laps if it was dry.

I ended up setting FTD in the TME but it was disallowed due to noise limits. It was a 2.14.812 bit gutted really.

Unlike you when you complained to the MSA just because Norris whupped your time at Croft?

I'd be happier if Jakes time got FTD. I've just read on facebook that it was because of noise...so as that is a bit pathetic I hereby announce as Jake FTD winner.

Unlike your team at Cadwell the other day Mr Plip who got STD.

Bit crap then for seat time. Hats off to you for the FTD - shame about the noise but that should be fairly straightforward to put right. How's the new turbo - much different from your old one?

It's a long lap which made up for seat time I think, but more would have been better.
New turbo is very good, laggy as hell on the road though but on track it spools up quickly and still has a large powerband. Since it's always high up in the rev range the turbo is better than the old one for track as it makes power to redline at 8k where as the old turbo would have ran out of puff at 7k.

It's typical Javelin allowing too many runners, they should have capped the numbers sooner. To be fair it was mostly the stoppages that delayed everything.

lol to be fair Phil Reed last year managed a 1:26 in the Javelin Sprint Series which I assume was the same layout. A 1:28 ain't bad at all!
