Exclamation Evo 8 owners, check your control arms and wishbones!

My evo 8 (260 - 2004 reg) went in to get a few things done and long story short, ended up tearing out the whole rear of the car. Some interesting and scary findings were:

- rear toe control arm cracked (knew about this one)
- rear wish bone arm cracked in 2 palces
- fuel tank corroded pretty badly
- cross members getting very bad.

So anyone having a look under their Evos do check your control arms and wishbones as this can easily be missed out due to the amount of congested cr*p underside. So lessons learned, underseal everything to death!

Pretty pictures below (not for the faint hearted):

Was under-sealed, poorly... front is still in pretty good nick. Will be getting cleaned up, welded where required with fresh bits installed where needed, then sealed to death. Not writing it off just yet

Some of those parts look like they’ve been at the bottom of the ocean!
