Mitsubishi Evo 8 GSR - Forged - 420bhp
For sale is my Mitsubishi Evo 8 GSR with 99k miles, an extensive service history, and MOT until 22/3/2020. It's had three previous owners, the first being a dealer, the other two owners before me were friends. The car comes with heaps of paperwork, including the original bill of sale to the first owner and even the original running-in instructions.
I bought the car mid last year and unfortunately had a rod bearing spin about two weeks into ownership, the car stayed off the road for a few months while I spoke to a few different specialists about a solution until I eventually sent the car to Norris Designs. The job carried out was this one http://www.norrisdesigns.com/proddet...od=Evo-LRDI001 plus a good condition used standard crankshaft, a 25 row oil cooler kit, a balance shaft delete, ARP main studs, and new BR8EIX plugs. Whilst everything was out I also had both Exedy clutch plates replaced. All of this work came at a cost of £6,000 with the bill to prove.
Since being forged the car has done approximately 8-9k miles, with two services in that time. Around 4500 miles ago it had all transmissions fluids changed when it was serviced, and it has just had an oil service and alignment at 98,900 miles. I had the car mapped at Dynotech where it made 420bhp and 410lb ft torque with the printout to prove. It has two maps, high boost which is 420bhp with pops and bangs, and low boost which is 335bhp and no pops and bangs.

Aluminium radiator with genuine HKS cap and M2 Motorsport upper hose
Evo 9 recirc valve
Throttle body rebuilt with new gaskets and seals and a replacement idle control valve
Carbon fibre cooling panel
Bremi coil packs fitted recently
Magnecor 8mm ignition leads fitted recently
Recent front O2 sensor
BR8EIX spark plugs fitted at the same time as the engine build
Evo 9 rear bumper
Carbon rear wing
ABS plastic vortex generator
ABS plastic front splitter
MR black steering wheel
Android touch screen radio (bluetooth calls/music, nav etc)
Bad points: The bodywork isn't the best so please don't expect show car condition, ideally it could do with both front arches and the front bumper having some work. The AYC has never worked in my ownership, I have a rebuild kit for the pump but have just never got round to it as it's never really affected me, you're unlikely to feel a massive difference with road driving.
I've owned the car for approximately 18 months and I'm only selling due to fancying something a bit different. It's an excellent 'fast road' car but could easily become a 5-600bhp monster with just a few upgrades. I am open to offers but I'm not in a huge rush to sell so please nothing silly. Test drives will be done by me unless you can prove that you are fully insured to drive, viewings can be made on weekends but I could potentially sort out a day in the week if need be. Private plate does not come with the car, it is now back on it's original registration which is PL54 AZA
