Did I pay too much?
So my previous thread https://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=592269 where I spoke about coming back to owning an evo and finding this pretty rough VII with the aim of working on it as a project car.
It's cost me just under 7 grand. The car starts drives and the gearbox and clutch seems fine. I plan to overhaul and restore the entire car. Get down to the chassis and have it sorted in the areas where there are some kinks along with fully respraying the car too. Here are some of the issues Body work in shoddy condition Petrol tank leak Underside rear chassis slight bend Gearbox housing gasket leak and evidence of being opened Engine gasket evidence being opened Electric harness wires exposed Power steering leak Fender damage underside repaired Front underside chassis damage Engine crank case gasket leak and welded Front shock absorber leak And some fake Bride seats hahah Did I pay too much?

If it has no rot that is 94% of the battle won. However the rest depends on how bad the repairs/damage is.

Owning a Evo in 2021
No rust or rot. The other damage I won't know really fully until I start taking it apart.

With it being a LHD you still probably bought it cheap as they normally go for maybe 50% more than equivalent RHD versions...

Sounds really cheap that. Cheapest uk 7 is around 11-12K
