I am interested if this car was registered before June 2008 as the motor tax would then be €710 annually.

Also, the Vehicle Registration Tax (VRT) is up around €8k

So you’d have to pay that to register it on Irish plates?

Yes, and there is about €1k of a difference between a car registered in the first ½ of 2008 and second ½ of 2008.

So that, coupled with the €1,700 a year motor tax difference, makes the questions I am asking very relevant (to me)

I have been looking for an early 2008 registered manual X for a while now and that is why I am asking these questions.

That being said, with the description of the car by the owner so far (in my opinion) the car is about £5k over what it should be.

However, without answering these questions, it's hard for me to determine if it is a viable car for me
