VW Golf R32

Evening all.

Possibly considering one for a daily.. thoughts?

Obviously Iím not asking about fuel consumption! Plus 100k manuals going for 5 grand. Low miles up to 10. Looking at an example thatís a bit rough round the edges. Am I mad!?

Had a 57 plate manual, very well built cars. Throttle pedal takes some getting used to! Itís like an on off switch I hated it. And the brakes are ridiculous they are so over servoed if that makes sense, they are just on or off nothing in between which is very annoying when approaching a junction at low speed as u literally headbutt the dash lol. Fuel consumption is bad as u guessed and they arenít the fastest things either tbh.

They sound lovely and look the part. But as someone mentioned, they’re not fast considering the engine size. Horsepower is 250 standard?

Iíve always love the VR6 (which is now getting old) drive one years ago. Yes wasnít quick but sounded beautiful and felt really solid.

Never driven a 32 but I think they look lovely, would make a lovely solid daily (albeit a juicy one) just not sure on reliability? Think Iíd go for manual and 3 door. Like most of these cars it would probably of been clocked and thrashed to hell, hence why I thought about getting an honest high mile one thatís been through it a bit. At least thenits cheaper and your not paying bigger for a clicker one!

Yeh I think 250 standard with a barrel of TQ

Taken from my for sale advert:

Throughout its life it has been owned by enthusiast owners and has only been run on Shell V Power in my ownership. Additionally, I have always used premium engine oil and premium brake/clutch fluid.

Key things:
- Only 67,000 genuine miles
- 2 previous owners
- Full VW dealer and specialist service history
- 2 keys
- Sought after spec: 3 door, diamond black pearl paint, manual gearbox, full leather interior with heated seats, rear parking sensors etc

I have owned the car for nearly 4 years and have loved every minute of it. The Haldex system ensures you have grip exactly when you need it which makes the handling of the car superb. The engine note of the R32 is lovely - not many cars produce sound like it from stock.

The car is ready and setup for its new owner for the upcoming Winter months with a full service (including the Haldex system) carried out as well as new front discs and pads fitted. The car has also just sailed through its MOT. This is your chance to own one of the last naturally aspirated performance Golfs and I would love for this to go to another enthusiast.

If you would like to see any more pictures, I have plenty.

Price: £9,995 ono
